The US Postal Service has a byzantine set of rates and options for Domestic use. PayPal has a rigid set of options for assigning postage costs. We struggle to chart a course between the two. Our solution is personal service and trust. Steve Mehlman, drummer in Pere Ubu and Rocket From The Tombs, runs Ubutique. He is scrupulous and determined to reduce costs to the consumer. He will refund excess postage costs for sums over $1. We don't try to sneak a profit in under the guise of 'p&p.' We charge postage plus the actual cost of the packaging - usually 50 cents, depending.
If the postage seems high, please email Steve directly and he will do his best to find an acceptable solution for your order. This applies particularly when ordering more than one item at a time. International postal rates are pretty accurate usually but, again, email him if you have a concern. Our solution in every case is simple. Personal intervention.
Steve will get your order shipped to you asap. Please be aware that he is a working musician and sometimes he's on tour. Things can go wrong. The USPS can be slow. If you are concerned about some part of the process, if something is wrong or doesn't look right, or if you have any sort of issue and would like to contact a human being, feel free to email him.
Please note in regard large shipments: Split points are set to minimize postal costs for small orders. We reserve the right to negotiate shipping costs for orders over one pound in weight.
